New Faces, Achievements at ASG
Association Services Group, LLC is proud to announce new members and new certifications within its talented team of individuals who continue to serve clients and community with excellence! Meet some of the new faces gracing the hallways and visiting via Zoom conference calls within the ASG walls:
Chris Butts: Chris Butts joins ASG as the account executive for the Forest Products Society, FPS, www.forestprod.org and the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association, GFVGA, www.gfvga.org.
Chris was previously the executive director for the Georgia Green Industry Association where he was responsible for all daily operations, in addition to serving as the industry brand ambassador among elected officials and leaders. He also served as GGIA’s director of legislative and public affairs. In each position he had a consistent track record of positive sales growth, market capture and increased organizational exposure.
He is excited to call ASG his new home.
“… I’m most excited to be joined with such an accomplished and talented team,” Chris said. “The knowledge base and experience provide an excellent opportunity to learn and collaborate which ultimately benefits our clients.”
Chris will split his time between the ASG office in LaGrange and his home office in Athens, Ga.
On his off days, Chris enjoys spending time with his three children: Charlie, 20; Maggie, 18 and Mary Scott, 17. He also likes hitting the local golf course and playing drums and guitar in two different bands!

VJ Mayor: VJ Mayor joins the ASG team as an account executive for the Southern Association of Wholesale Distributors, SAWD, www.the-southern.org.
VJ was the senior director of communications for the National Confectioners Association from 2015-2019 and the senior director of marketing, communications and research with the Sports and Fitness Industry Association from 2007-2015. In both roles, VJ was instrumental in leading and launching key initiatives that helped maximize revenue and membership growth within each organization and produce influential advocacy campaigns. VJ earned his CAE in 2014.
VJ looks forward to sharing knowledge and information with ASG team members and clients.
“As a career association executive, I’m thrilled to be a part of the ASG team. There’s so much association knowledge on staff that I look forward to learning from and collaborating with,” he said. “I’m excited to work with ASG clients to help them fulfill their mission.”
VJ resides in Laurel, Maryland, midway between Washington D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. He will split his time between Maryland and the LaGrange office.
In his free time, VJ and his wife Mollie enjoy travelling, hiking and visiting national parks. He also likes a variety of sports and playing golf.

Congratulations goes out to ASG Director of Operations Katie Oxford!
She recently received her Certified Association Executive, CAE. The CAE program serves to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and designate those who have acquired and demonstrated knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The CAE program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, NCCA.
Katie is the director of operations, overseeing AMCI accreditation, office procedures and technology. She also works on new business development.
Katie has been with ASG for seven years. She received her BS in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology from Auburn University.

ASG Chief Executive Officer Charles Hall is excited to be expanding the ASG team and adding to the staff expertise available to their clients.
