The Forest Products Society (FPS) has chosen Association Services Group (ASG) for full service management, effective August 1, 2018. Established in 1947, FPS is the premier international organization for advancing the sustainable use of renewable cellulosic resources, including wood, through science and technology.
FPS members represent a broad range of professional interests including private and public research and development, industrial management and production, marketing, education, government, engineering and consulting. The Society convenes technical conferences, produces the Forest Products Journal – a prestigious resource for high-quality, peer-reviewed technical research – and other related journals and books on relevant topics.
“We went through an extensive process to determine the best partner to take FPS into the future, and ASG rose to the top of our list very quickly. Their resources for event management and their staff’s familiarity with the forest products industry make them a great fit for FPS,” FPS President, Hui Wan said.
Debbie Brady will serve as the Executive Vice President of FPS. Brady has nearly 20 years of experience working in the solid wood industry; the bulk of those with the Southeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association.
“The Forest Products Society has a tremendous legacy of service to the international forest products community. I’m excited for the opportunity to build on that legacy and help re-tool FPS’s events and publications to provide value to the industry for decades to come,” Brady said.
